Overview
Guggul is the fragrant gum resin extracted from Commiphora Mukul tree and used in Ayurvedic treatments for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to help ease joint pain and soothe the soreness and inflammation associated with conditions like arthritis.
Also known as ‘Pura’ (meaning ‘wards off diseases’), Guggul contains a mxiture of powerful medicinal plant compounds and essential oils, including steroid guggulsterone (regulates bile acids and metabolism of cholesterol), lignans (lower the risk of heart diseases and cancer), flavonoids (regulate cellular activity) and amino acids (promote weight loss and prevent muscle loss). Guggul is also traditionally used for management of diabetes, regulation of blood sugar levels and promotion of weight loss.
Recommended Usage:
- Consume 1 capsule with a glass of warm water.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
- Pregnant and lactating mothers, or those under treatment for an acute or a chronic condition, should seek advice of their healthcare practioner before using.
