Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and plays an important part in the prevention of cancer and cardiovascular disease. It is necessary for tissue repair, improves circulation and is useful in the treatment of fibrocystic disease of the breast. Vitamin E promotes healthy skin and hair and helps to prevent anaemia. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E retards cellular age and prevents cell damage by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids and the formation of free radicals, the damaging agents that attack cells. Dosage:
One tablet daily as a dietary supplement.

Cautions:
Vitamin E and Iron supplements, should you need to take both, should be taken at separate times of the day as inorganic forms of iron (such as ferrous sulphate) destroy Vitamin E. Organic iron (ferrous gluconate or ferrous fumarate) does not destroy Vitamin E. People with high blood pressure should start with a low dose of Vitamin E, such as 200iu, and increase slowly to the desired dose.
